Kontron a German manufacturing / designing company has come to terms the British Airline EasyJet for the incorporation of their latest entertainment system. After continuous testing of other hardware solutions Kontron was the best choice for the task. The German company alongside its trusted partner, Immfly have come together to bring what is known as the “Air Time “system to a couple of the easyJet aircraft. A total of five easyJet aircrafts will be used to be tested with the latest system.
Immfly and Kontron have become equal patterners in this and are able to supply the same amount of resources in the project as a whole. Kontron will be best used for their hardware resources that allow for the Wi-Fi system to work fast and efficiently. Immfly will be used best used for their software content application specialties.

The new state of the art in flight system has unlimited capabilities in the brought to you in the palm of your hand. Previous built-in aircraft monitors and seat back controllers will no longer be used but will be replaced with smart devices to manage the “Air Time “system.
According to getconnecte.aero specific hardware parts have been chosen to be implemented into the Air Time system such as the ACE Flight 4600 Airborne Server, Removable Storage Devices (RSSDs), and its Cab-n-Connect A100 Cabin Wireless Access Point (CWAP).
