GDC Selects AMETEK for Its Secondary Power Distribution
GDC Technics a renowned aircraft modifications and technology company, recently selected AMETEK as a major distributor for AC power, and secondary Ametek power distribution. GDC Technics selected AMETEK for its 787 VVIP conversion program, which will be a big asset for GDC to have. GDC needs big distributors to support Airbus and Boeing, whom have approved GDC to produce parts for their next generation wide body aircrafts and structural system refinements.
GDC holds multiple approvals such as EASA 145, FAA and DOA. They also hold certifications in ISO 9001, AS9100 and AS9110. GDC is leading the industry in next generation aircraft modifications. AMETEK is a leading manufacturer of solid-state power systems, DC motors, data concentration, cockpit instruments, starter generators, rotary actuators, and many more. Together, these two highly accomplished companies are taking huge steps to better the future of aircrafts, a step that both Boeing and Airbus and several others are going to love to see in the next few years.
GDC’s main goal right now is taking environmental aircrafts and evolving them into WIP level flying masterpieces. AMETEK INC. is making this possible with its lightweight SPDU, which produces 288 amps at 28 VDC power with up to 54 electrical loads. This unit preforms at high speeds, saves space, saves weight and saves cost just by reducing wires.
This unit will allow for maximum performance within GDC’s infrastructure, allowing for customizations within design, engineering, and installing. The AMETEK unit also offers features such as, pulse with modification, load power monitoring, automated load shedding, remote load power control, arc-fault detection, and prognostic and diagnostic capabilities for maintenance purposes. AMETEKS power distribution unit is a huge step forward in the right direct towards GDC’s goals.
