Dowty Propellers, a GE Aviation’s sub dairy suffered a horrendous fire at their Head Quarters on in February of 2015 that soon put their facility out of commission. Following the news, the company began to rebuild and plan on their newest establishment.
Dowty Propellers has finally received approval to begin the construction of their newest facility that will be located in Gloucester, UK as well as the previous one. Officials at Dowty believe this is the right place to keep the company as it has showed extreme potential throughout the years. The exact location has not been determined but has been has been said to be up and running by the year 2019.
Along with the construction of the latest facility, Dowty has also begun their latest project of Digital Propulsion technology development costing £20m ($26,795,104.53 US) that will better the propelling system and the future of propulsion systems. Along with help of other organizations Dowty Propellers is able to fund their projects. Along with funding companies Dowty has the pleasure of having other associates such as Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, The National Composites Centre, and the Manufacturing Research Centre.

In lue of the burning down of the previous facility, Dowty would like to assure that the release of their previous project will reinforce their ties with the already working system and want to keep implemented “GE’s ‘Brilliant Factory’ philosophy.’
